Social Networking news and information

I received an email from Gather today letting me know they'd added some neat features.  My first thought was that it was odd that Gather was only now adding them, but, looking at the positives here, at least they are finally available.



Just added:

• Social bookmarking ease via Del.icio.us and Digg
• Polling
• Permalinks (this one took FAR too long)
• Better mail preferences (you don't get notified everytime a friend posts an article anymore)
  

I have long been a fan of Gather (see my interview with the Gather CEO here), though it holds little value for me personally.  I am not the most creative writer (see my first attempt here).  But, for the prolific entertainment writer, it's a beautiful way to show off your work and build a following.
