Online Video Sharing Sites, Part 2
Continued from yesterday's review of Online Video Sharing Sites.

Second Coolest Feature
Grouper allows users to download a PSP-ready version of the vidcast, which would really increase your audience.  However, they ruin it's ease by making it downloadable only through their software that you must download onto your machine.  Of course, with proprietary issues like this, it's no surprise that Sony recently purchased the video site.

Least Appealing
Which brings me to the least appealing site.  I am so very tempted to name Vimeo here as no one on the entire site liked my videos.  ;)

Either it is set up to discourage networking or everyone hates me (entirely possible).  I don't know, maybe my videos just didn't resonate with this crew, but I got only a few views, no comments, no likes, etc.

However, my own personal pity-party aside, Grouper definitely beats it out.  Their resistance to openness will kill the site, and the fact that Sony is now involved is NOT a helpful PR tool for them.

If you have a suggestion on a video sharing site, please leave me a comment.

If you want to connect on any of the above-mentioned video sites, MySpace, YouTube, Grouper, Vimeo or Blip.tv, feel free.

Which video sharing site offers the best video quality/size?

YouTube is definitely the worst, with Revver and Grouper behind them.

Best is probably Blip.tv and Vimeo. Blip allows HD uploads.

thx

StashSpace.Com allows you to upload videos of unlimited size and quality for archiving & conversion to streaming (.wmv) and portable (iPod) formats.

Or you can also record your digital video directly into your account with a web-based tool that archives your video at a 1.5mbs datarate at 30 fps.

Sharing is private (via email invitation) or public through a stashFeed you setup once on your personal website or blog. The feed is automatically updated when you designate any other movies in your account public.

Lars, I'll check it out. Thanks!
