YouTube and Facebook Set Prices
YouTube is reportedly valuing itself at $1.5 B.  Most people say that without a sustainable monetization model (or even one pulled out of a hat), the bandwidth hog that is YouTube won't get it.  Although, industry moguls see definite value in the site, they say the number is closer to $300M.  What's that, 5 times valuation?

And, on the heels of my mean-as-dirt Zuckerberg essay, I'm having no fun reporting the "as high as $1B" deal he's reportedly entertaining at this moment.  Now I have to go revisit Internet Business Rule #1 "Just because a site is over-valued and run by morons, doesn't mean it won't get bought"  Grr...
