When the AudioBlogger service was discontinued last week, many Blogger users were verclempt.  There is little to recommend Blogger anymore, and the fact that you could easily record a phone podcast with no hosting fees and get direct and immediate posting to your blog was a major calling card for them.

Unfortunately, it appears Blogger was not willing to pony up the money to pay for the costs ODEO were forced to dish out month after month.  Therefore, ODEO cancelled the free service.  However, Om thinks they have other plans for world domination.  Two words:  Mobile Blogging


He paints a pretty picture.  And, incidentally, he calls for a name change within the next three months.  What do you think?

Time can only tell, but I'm watching ODEO a little more closely now that Om has predicted their metamorphosis.
